Cooler Air Where You Actually Sit
A high-pressure system can bring the temperature in the mist zone down by up to 25°F. That’s the difference between a patio you walk past in summer and one you use every evening.
Evolution Plumbing handles misting system installation in Mesa, fitting high-pressure systems to backyard patios, pergolas and pool decks. We measure your space in person, plan the layout around how you actually use it, and put the full cost in writing before any work begins.

(480) 662-6555Mesa summers don’t let up. Triple-digit afternoons stretch from late spring into fall, and without some way to cool it down, a patio or backyard can sit unused for months. A properly sized high-pressure misting system turns a space you avoid into one you actually use.
There’s no off-the-shelf package. We measure the space, look at where the sun hits and how you use it, and design the system around what’s there, whether that’s a backyard patio, a pergola, a pool deck or a covered seating area.
We handle misting system installation in Mesa from the first site visit through to testing and handover, and every job starts with a written quote before any work begins.
How much a correctly sized high-pressure system can lower the air temperature in your mist zone, enough to keep a Mesa patio usable through July and August.
Roughly how many days a year Mesa and the rest of the East Valley top 100°F, based on National Weather Service data. That's a long season to spend indoors.
The operating pressure of a typical high-pressure misting pump, against the 40 to 60 psi a standard hose bib puts out. That gap is what separates a fine, dry mist from a wet one.
A high-pressure system can bring the temperature in the mist zone down by up to 25°F. That’s the difference between a patio you walk past in summer and one you use every evening.
At the right pressure, water leaves the nozzle as droplets small enough to evaporate in the air. Your cushions, deck and guests stay dry while the air around them cools.
Cooling an open patio with ducted air conditioning means paying to chill air that drifts straight into the yard. A misting system uses far less energy and only cools the area you’re sitting in.
Evaporative cooling depends on low humidity, and Mesa has plenty of dry heat to work with. That’s why a well-designed system here feels like a real change rather than a light spray.
Every backyard is shaped differently, with its own shade, walls and seating. We plan line runs, nozzle positions and pump placement from real measurements of your space, not a boxed kit.
A misting system adds months to the time you can comfortably spend outside, and a finished, usable outdoor space is something buyers notice when it’s time to sell.
Every system can be set up with a timer or remote control. Have it kick in at the same time each afternoon, or turn it on from the kitchen before you head out back.
Nozzles need cleaning and systems sometimes need adjusting once they’ve run through a summer. Call us when yours needs attention and we’ll come back out to keep it running right.
From single-zone systems on covered Mesa patios to longer runs around open pergolas and pool decks across the East Valley, we’ve designed and installed misting systems for all kinds of backyard layouts.

Sizing comes down to line length and nozzle count rather than square footage alone, which is why we measure on site before quoting. We map the line runs, pump location and nozzle spacing around your layout, sun exposure and any existing structure like a pergola or patio cover.
A dedicated pump runs the system at around 1,000 psi, which is what atomizes the water into a mist fine enough to evaporate before it lands. A standard hose bib only supplies 40 to 60 psi, nowhere near enough for the same result. Depending on your budget and where the lines need to run, we’ll recommend stainless steel, brass or nylon tubing with secure fittings built to stay put.
We’ll set your system up with timer or remote control so it runs when you want it to. When choosing the pump, we also factor in noise, where it can physically sit and how often you’ll use the space.
We come out to your home to see the space in person. You get a written estimate with nothing hidden in it, and nothing is booked in until you’re happy with it.
We plan the system around your actual layout, where the sun hits hardest and how you use the space, down to where each line and nozzle will sit.
A typical backyard system goes in within a day. Bigger layouts or systems with several zones can run into a second day.
Once everything’s in, we run the system at full pressure to check every line and nozzle, then show you how to use it and keep it in good shape.

Weighing up a misting system against running air conditioning outdoors? Here’s how the two compare.
For an open patio in dry desert heat, high-pressure misting is the practical choice. You get a meaningful temperature drop and low running costs without building ductwork into your outdoor space.
Advantages
Considerations
Running ducted air conditioning outside can work in the right setting, but the equipment isn’t designed for open air, and both the install and the running costs reflect that.
Advantages
Considerations
No two misting systems cost the same. Line length, nozzle count, pump size and the number of zones all shape the final figure, which is why we quote after seeing your space rather than over the phone.
The final figure comes down to how big the system is, how far the lines run, which pump it needs and how many zones you want. Call us at (480) 662-6555 to book your free site visit.
A typical backyard system is usually done in a day. Bigger layouts, long line runs or several zones can take a little longer, and we’ll give you a realistic timeline once we’ve seen the space.
Mesa’s water can be hard, and the minerals it carries can build up in the nozzles over time and restrict the mist. Filtration at the pump and regular nozzle cleaning keep that under control, and we’ll talk you through a maintenance routine at handover.
Yes, just not quite as well. Misting relies on evaporation, and higher humidity slows it down, so the cooling effect drops a little during monsoon weeks. For most of Mesa’s summer, the air is dry enough for the system to perform at its best.
Low-pressure kits run off a garden hose at household pressure and produce larger, wetter droplets. High-pressure systems use a dedicated pump at around 1,000 psi to create a much finer mist that evaporates before it lands. One cools the air, the other mostly gets things wet.
Less than most people expect. The nozzles turn the water into such a fine mist that even a decent-sized residential system goes through surprisingly little. How much it adds up to depends on the number of nozzles and how long you run it each day.
Yes, when they’re installed correctly. The pump needs to sit on a GFCI-protected circuit at a safe distance from the water, and we lay out the nozzles so walkways around the pool don’t end up wet or slippery.
Yes. We stand behind our installation work, and pump units come with their own manufacturer warranty on top. What’s covered on other parts depends on the brand, so check the current terms with us when we come out to see your space.
They do different jobs. Shade cloth blocks direct sun but doesn’t lower the air temperature, while misting actively cools the air through evaporation. Using both together gives you shade and cooler air underneath it.
